and one more thing francour they do have, on every vehicle, a parts content label that is white and on the rear window usually left side that does list % of parts content not that you would be able to read it! research what you talk about before you talk about it.

y francour you and the rest like you are high as a kite, it was your generation that killed the domestic manufacturers with all of your demands. nobody is worth 20 dollars an hour putti ng on lug nits as well as scraping in another 20-25000 in benefits as well. you broke it you should own it and quality is worlds apart. you sound just like a republican drinking the kool aid

All of the comments about Made in the US just make me puke. Although it is true that foreign based companies assemble and make components here, the total domestic content of their cars is far less than that of US based companies (in general) wether the vehicles are assembled in the US, Mexico or Canada. We have a free trade agreement with those contries, not with Japan, Korea, China and European countries where our trade deficits are in the billions. Domestic content includes profits/losses, retiree healthcare, etc. etc. Lost your job yet, keep buying foreign. I don't deny that foreign based companies make attractive products but I don't believe them to be better than their domestic counterparts. We should publish statement of origin with every car sold that includes the actual domestic content, including everything in order to debunk these myths.

I OWN A 2002 SUBARU OUTBACK. LOVE IT. CURRENTLY HAVE 35,000 PLUS MILES. WILL GET ANOTHER 35,000 PLUS.SERVICED AS RECOMMENDED AND THE DEALERSHIP IN LONGMONT IS SUPER.
I WOULD BUY AMERICAN CARS BUT HAVING OWNED CHRYSLER CARS AND TWO DODGE CARS THAT HAD RECALLS...NOT ONCE BUT TWICE. NOT TO MENTION THE TRADE IN VALUE THAT IS FAR BELOW THEIR COMPETORS. WHEN AKING CARS...ON THE PRODUCTION LINE...MAKE THE RIGHT THE FIRT FIME...TO ELIMNATE REACALLS. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT OF ACCIDENTS AND DEATH AS THE RESULT OF ACCIDENTS.

I own a 2002 Chevy Impala that currently has 206,000 miles and it is still running strong. My husband and I have both used it for work which was sales and travel everyday. we bought it new and still love it. Have only ever done brakes and tires. Just recently had to have the intake gasket replaced and is quite minor for the high miles. GO CHEVY! On the other hand, I own a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo and it is a complete JUNKER! Problem after problem....So I can TOTALLY relate to WEELMAN41's comments. Looking to get rid of the Jeep and find something reliable.

I have owned a 94 chevy s10 since new. It has never had any problems or been back to the dealers shop. Just brakes, tires and battery have been changed once in 100,000 miles . I do change oil every 3,000 miles. American cars are now as well built , if not better, than their foreign competitors. My truck is proof.

My Toyota is just fine and the price was good because they had a special weekend. Because the name is Toyota does not mean it is made in Japan. Not anymore. Mine was made in America, as was my previous Toyota. And they teach their employees ethics, self-esteem, and other good qualities. Where do you think the "American" cars get their parts????? There is NO WAY a Toyota made in America is causing Americans their jobs. Just the opposite. It's Ford and GM that have all the plant closings. Detroit is down the tubes with cars, housing and crime.

I USE TO OWN A 1999 GRAND CHEROKEE AND I HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE WITH IT. I ALWAYS HAD IT MAINTAINED BY MY JEEP DEALER AND WHAT EVER HE SUGGESTED I HAVE DONE I HAD IT DONE BY THEM. AT 57000 MILES I HAD MY AIRCONDITIONER FIXED ONCE AND THE REAR END FIXED 2X, MY TRANSMISSION FIXED 1X, AND SOMETHING ELSE THAT MADE IT GO FROM 2 WHEEL DRIVE to 4 WHEEL DRIVE. THEN I TRDED IT IN ON DEC 2005 FOR A TOYOTA AVALON LIMITED AND I LOVE IT. I HAVE ALL THE OPTIONS EXEPT FOR THE NAVAGATION SYSTEM. IT HANDELS GREAT AND GREAT PICK UP ON REGULAR FUEL. I WILL PROBIBLY STAY WITH AVALONS FROM NOW ON.
