My Porsche Twin turbo Cab. Mods to 600 hp. 3.6 0-60. 11.2 1/4 mile. and 22 mph. and unlike the crap like vettes and vipers, it does not rattle, has no cowl shake and I cand rive it well past 150 mph with 1 hand on the wheel as if it was glued to the road. Americans can not compete with germans and italians when it comes to quality and speed with ease.

I drive a relatively slow slightly modified Acura NSX that will do maybe 110 mph @ 12.7 - perhaps 4.4 0 - 60. It handles very well and will do maybe 170. It has been paid for for nearly 7 years.
I own Honda reliability and 18 mpg in town and 25 mpg cruising at 85 - 90.
I think I enjoy reading and fantasizing about these "weapons" more than owning one. I am glad to settle for mediocrity in the real world.

It seems some of you are missing the point in all of this, the fastest car did a 10.6 in the quarter mile and still took 1100 feet to stop from 200 mph, all that talk about insane horsepower doesnt do you any good if you cant get it to the ground, anyone who has every drag raced, even as a ameture or hobby knows thats suspension setup and gearing is what gets you down the track the fastest, and why didnt we get to see any high boosted nissan skylines? the new motor is a 6 cylinder that only recieves 10.2 psi max and it still makes 500 hp. ( the 480-430 claimed hp and torque stock are dumbed down numbers created by nissan) how about a car under 100K with real work and high boost beating the pants off of all of these cars. noone here will ever be driving a 300K car and then drop another 200k into it. You ruin what makes that car special, take away the everyday drive-ability and completely waste every penny you have ever spent on upgrades.

yeah i totally agree with one of the writers about the bugatti. i know those mods would've been lucky the sports beast did not compete with them.

Is anyone else curious what a modified S7 would do? Granted it didn't win and performed at the bottom of the pack but it's also a stock car not with a split design. The drive train says top end while the over-emphasized aerodynamics seem to yearn for some curves in the road. Perhaps a different gear ratio would severely impact the last 150-200mph time and thus make the car more competitive. Not to knock any of the cars, they're all great in their own respect and I understand that stock the S7 costs far more than the others, that's not the point at all. It just seems that the car wasn't adjusted for the specific task, such as others were with gear ratio's.

Just think.. In the time it took me to type this ... I could have gone from 0 to 200 to 0 again and only spent a mear 250K or more.... Now is that FUN!?

You guys are missing the whole point. I bought my 2006 Ford GT as an investment. Like the old musclecars, it's appreciating in value. When I drive it, it's an attention-getter with all kinds of comments and picture taking as I drive on. When I go to car shows, it blows away all others for attention. It's all stock and best left that way for value and that's why my state plate SEZITALL.
