Ford Recall List Includes 14 Million Vehicles

Speed Control Deactivation Switch Recall (09S09)

Ford recently announced a full list of vehicles in their switch recall. Ford's statement on the recall follows below

Statement from Ford:

Ford is recalling all remaining vehicles – approximately 4.5 million U.S. vehicles – equipped with Texas Instruments speed control deactivation switches.

While the data show the majority of the vehicles being recalled do not pose a significant safety risk, we are recalling the vehicles to reassure customers and eliminate any future concerns.

This recall affects older models, including discontinued vehicles. The majority is greater than 10 model years old, with some up to 18 model years old.

Gosh, I didn't realize Ford had been making Rangers since the year 1005! It's a much older company than I had previously thought!

And they say buy american cars I have a ford trust me it spent more time in the shop with recalls and repairs then it probable spent on the road
